Joining Hands Against Forced Marriage

This wikileak is about a campaign called Joining Hands Against Forced Marriages. This is a campaign to help communication, cooperation, and general understanding of Arab countries and the Muslim Religion. Many different groups are involved in the campaign, The Autonomous Communities of Madrid and Andalucia, different spanish cities, and the ministry for foreign affairs. They are all part of the Campaign called Casa Arabe. The campaign was held in 2008 with a good number of participants. The desire of this campaign was to talk about forced marriages and to shine light on the fact that the muslim religion was not the only religion that had forced marriages. One thing I found interesting about this was that the presentation was in english with a bit here and there in español. The wikileak went onto explain that the campaign was unsuccessful because many had never heard about it 15 months later.
