Simon Alcaraz, the Partido Popular Mayor of Aledo for the past 20 years, was arrested in a new planning corruption investigation. He was arrested with 8 other people including his secretary, Rosario Hita, and five other suspects in Murcia and another in Alicante. So far the crimes under investigation are bribery, perversion of the course of justice, and illegal negotiations.
I’ve been trying to find more information on what the corruption scandal is about but I can’t find anything, possible because this happened only on Tuesday.
