London's Effort To Control The IRA

My wikileak corresponds with the article that I found about Northern Ireland. The Wikileak talks about London's efforts to control the IRA (Irish Republican Army). This wikileak is dated from 1988. The IRA had increased its amounts of attacks on the British and on British military grounds. IRA spokesmen said that the attacks are meant to scare and discourage The British's desire to remain In Ireland. The attacks consist of bombings and deaths. The UK had planned to increase their security and had strongly persuaded Ireland to work with them to stop the violence from the IRA.
